The ACCC on the lookout for lemons

Published On 02/02/2013 | By David Crino | Consumer protection, Enforcement

Following on from our 12 tips for a safer Christmas, it seems that the ACCC has had a busy few months protecting us all from unsafe products.  Between October and December 2012 it reported 116 separate recalls, covering more than 2.4 million individual products!

Some of those products included:

  • almost 200,000 portable DVD players
  • thousands of cars
  • tens of thousands of child restraint anchor bolts

An up-to-date list of all recalls can all be found on the Recalls Australia website, or by downloading the iPhone or Android app.
